The brain is a very complex organ, which many scientists and doctors have tried analyzing but not yet figured out completely. There are many secrets which haven’t been discovered even though years of analyzing have gone to studying the brain. The teenager’s brain has not been completely understood yet but many hours are going into trying to decipher it. This video explains how and why teenager's view the world, the people around them, and themselves. Many adults and teenagers misunderstand each other because of how their brain is made. Teenagers go through mood swings and act in ways that not only surprise the people around them but also surprise themselves. The frontal lobe of the teenager's brain is not fully developed and so they have trouble making rational decisions. Parents have to try to understand all the changes going though their teenager’s mind and not punish them for things they have no control over. Most teenager, including me, get around 7:30 hours of sleep when they should receive 9 hours. Scientists have proved that sleep is a fundamental block for learning and without it have trouble learning. With all the distractions and technology in the world today, it is hard to concentrate and go to sleep early. I learned a lot on how the teenager’s brain is made up by watching this video. I would like to show this video to my parents so that they can understand the things going through my mind and why I act certain ways. My mother and I sometimes see the same thing differently, which can cause a bit of tension between us. Understanding why we act the way that we do is important not only for us as teenagers but for the whole world to understand us and our actions.
